“I started GHOST BOOKS PRESS because I never grew out of picture books. When I was little, the books I loved most were the ones that made adults laugh and made me think. That’s what these are.”

Our Reviews
A nostalgic, spooky tale
I bought this book for my daughter a year ago and she immediately loved it for its dark humor and sketchy style (and prolific use of cats). She started riffing on the illustrations and we caught her singing the song more than once. Now 9, and over a year later my daughter still references it regularly.
Irresistible!
There was a moment before I opened this book that took me by surprise. As I ran my hand over the cover it felt like I was stroking my tuxedo cat Indy. So soft. I was hooked. I love everything about this wonderful book. The illustrations grabbed my attention right away. I couldn't get enough of the feline eyeballs. And the witch at the heart of the story had me holding my breath one minute, then cheering and laughing out loud.
6 year old loved it!
What a charming story with really beautiful but modern illustrations. My 6 year old adored it!
perfect for my rowdy little boy
Thank you for the signed copy of your book! It is a really fun story with great illustrations, and absolutely perfect for my rowdy little boy who also loves to read. Definitely going to check out The Witch of Haberfield Park next!
Charming and funny...
Looking for charming and funny books for kids and adults alike? Check out The Witch of Haberfield Park and The Boy Who Was Trouble. They're clean enough, but also slightly subversive at times, especially the illustrations, which are delightful.
A must have children's book for the whole family!
What a fantastically, unique story! The Witch of Haberfield Park is an off-kilter morality tale that is a must have for all children’s book lovers. With charming illustrations, a pleasing rhyme scheme, plus a plot surprise twist to boot, it was a definite hit for both of our kids and for us parents as well. We just laughed as we finished it and promptly read it again! A modern classic and a must have for your collection….especially at Halloween.
